About the event
Dream Circle + Unlock Your Creativity WorkshopÂ
You are invited for a weekly Dream Circle at Toqueur art gallery, this time with a special Workshop to unlock your creativity through dreams! You will learn how to turn your dream into creative play and an inspiration for a piece of art.
You can attend only the Dream Circle, or the Workshop, or both for a special discounted price. Â
Dream Circle 19:00-20:00 We get together in a safe space held by other Dreamers to connect to deeper parts of our psyche that manifest themselves in dreams. We unpack the meaning of our dreams together through intuitive questions and Ullman's group work technique. Â By remembering, writing down, and sharing our dreams with others, we bring the symbols, messages, and mystery to the light of consciousness so that each dreamer can explore their dreams' meaning within themselves. Â
Unlock Your Creativity Workshop 20:00-21:30 Stay after the dream circle to turn your dream into creative play and a piece or art! Bring a dream - old or recent - that you feel some emotional connection with. We will work with the dream to unpack the creative potential of dream symbols, and create either a dream paper collage or a dream poem/piece of creative writing. Â All materials included, just bring a notebook or paper to write on. See you there! Â ....

By attending this circle and workshop, I agree to: Â 1. No judgment Dreams often speak to us in primal symbols that often involve blood, violence, sex, pain... These elements are intrinsically human and live deep in our psyche, often suppressed by our culture, moral values, and religion. We don't judge our own or other people's dream content as good or bad, moral or immoral. Such distinctions are the judgments of the mind that are necessary for our functioning in a society, but if we want to dive deep into the mysteries of our psyche, we need to keep an open mind to all symbols that are trying to emerge. Â 2. Confidentiality We will be asked to keep the information that arises in the circle private and confidential so we're all in the safe space. Â 3. Soul vs. Mind analysis In this circle we refrain from finding definitive meaning of dream symbols and analyzing dreams with our minds. Dream dictionaries are not part of this process. We understand that meaning can only be found by each dreamer for themselves, and a meaning of a symbol differs from person to person. We don't project our own understanding of someone's dream. We give and hold space for the mystery to arise. Â 4. Patience It might take weeks, months, or years for the meaning of the dream to become known. Carl Jung himself worked with some of his own dreams for years. Sometimes our mind thinks it arrived at the answer, but if we keep our hearts open, the mystery keeps unfolding. We have patience for this process and understand that this is a lifelong pursuit. Â 5. Credentials I currently study a MSc program at the Alef Trust Institute in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology validated (accredited) by Liverpool John Moores University. Among other topics, I research dreamwork and Jungian psychology. Dream work can benefit anyone, however if you're struggling with deep trauma, grief, addition, or your dream content troubles you, I advise to seek support of a specialized therapist.
